Analyst Arion Sulo, commenting on the latest political developments in the country, also spoke about Altin Dumani's confrontation with MPs yesterday. Regarding the controversy over the publication of materials from SPAK files, he emphasized that the documents in PDF format circulating on the phone are not a product of the media, but part of an informal circulation that cannot be attributed to journalism.
" For the head of SPAK to come out and complain about the media is like asking us to shut up and not speak ," Sulo said on the "Trialog" show on RTSH1.
He added that criticism of SPAK should not be considered pressure, but a normal reaction in a democratic society.
"I don't know who the media are that are pressuring Mr. Dumani, but if there are journalists or analysts who tell him that you haven't investigated this issue or that, I don't think it's pressure – it's criticism. 'Investigate faster', 'be selective' – this is positive criticism. Even if a politician accuses him of bias, this is normal ," he said.
Sulo also analyzed the profile of SPAK leaders, saying that they are usually closed, introverted figures and not used to media exposure.
"I think he's not used to this pressure. As prosecutors, they're used to a very quiet, very inquisitive, not in the media spotlight type of person. They don't give press conferences, they don't go out, and they're not used to it, " he said.
Sulo articulated a criticism stating that “SPAK, for me, is attacking the opposition, unbalancing democracy in Albania.”
