Altin Ndoci, who escaped from Durrës hospital a week ago, turns out that from October 2025 to January of this year, he was escorted to the hospital five times.
In the investigative file provided by Top Channel, it is stated that from the examination of security cameras, suspicious interaction was found between head nurse Aulon Çuku and director Indrit Cerloj, who abused their duties.
From the information obtained by the Internal Control Service in the Prison System, it results that the frequency of escorting prisoners who are high social risk and in good economic condition to the hospital is suspected to be carried out to provide various favors (mainly special meetings) to these prisoners, in return for bribing the leaders of the institutions and relevant personnel.
Even in the case of the planned visits to the Durrës Regional Hospital of the pre-trial detainee Altin Ndoci, taking into account the increase in the frequency of visits in a relatively short period and comparing it with the previous history of his hospital visits, the file states, there is a reasonable suspicion that these planned medical visits to the hospital coincide with the period October 2025 - January 2026 and are fictitious.
"For our part, we have examined the security cameras of the institution and during the examination we have ascertained a suspicious interaction between the head nurse Aulon Çuku and the director Indrit Cerloj, as well as actions observed as a significant negligence of the director of the Durrës Penitentiary Institution, regarding the reasonableness that the citizen Indrit Cerloj may have abused his duty, since even from the examination of the film footage we ascertain that he has a very close and suspicious relationship with the nurse Aulon Çuku.
For the period 2020–2024, it has been accompanied 4 (four) times for various issues.
For the period 08.10.2025 - 13.01.2026, it was accompanied 5 (five) times, in which the institution was headed respectively: on 08.10.2025 - Director of the Institution Ervis Dedej, on 24.10.2025 - Director of the Institution Edmond Llabani (seconded), on 26.11.2025 - Director of the Institution Indrit Cerloj, on 18.12.2025 - Director of the Institution Indrit Cerloj, on 13.01.2026 - Director of the Institution Indrit Cerloj.

Also, from the verifications so far, it has resulted that the departures from the Penitentiary Institution of prisoner Altin Ndoci, which coincide with the period October 2025 - January 2026, have not been reflected in the daily activity statement of the General Directorate of Prisons and in no case has the Internal Control Service in the Prison System been informed," the file states, among other things.
