The Lajda Porja weather forecast has made the weather forecast for the remaining days of June. According to her, the south-eastern area of Albania, mainly the district of Korça, will also be accompanied by rain today, but from tomorrow the situation will calm down. From the beginning of the week, temperatures will rise to 35 degrees Celsius.
"The weather is expected to improve from next week, we are expected to have the impact of African heat waves in the basin in the Mediterranean basin, where Spain, Sardinia, Italy, the northwestern part of the Balkans will record the highest temperatures. Albania will be on the periphery of this wave, which means that we will have clear weather, we will have more hours of sunshine with very little and isolated precipitation, possibly in the extreme northern areas. Air temperatures in Albania will be 25 or slightly above this value. We will be on the outskirts of the heat wave, where extreme temperatures will be experienced by Spain and the entire south of Italy, Albania will still remain with these values, i.e. 34-35 degrees in the last 10 days of June. the weather forecast says.
Porja has also shown the impact that the El Niño phenomenon will have in our country.
"The El Niño phenomenon that brings high temperatures to the Pacific Ocean means that we have an impact and expect high temperatures in the following two years. It is a phenomenon, a thermal condition, a thermal anomaly which affects the earth-atmosphere system. The El Niño phenomenon, which happens at least once every 4-5 years, we will expect hot days and years. 2024 and 2025 will be the hottest years globally and territorially. Therefore, it is expected that Albania will record high temperatures during 2024 and 2025. What happens during this phenomenon, we will have frequent extreme phenomena, we will have rain showers, cyclones, tropical storms which will not only be more frequent, but they will be at a higher degree of ferocity at the moment we have this phenomenon", says Lajda Porja.
