An unusual moment was recorded during the opposition protest in front of the Albanian Parliament, where a citizen broke away from the crowd and followed a police officer who was on the front line of security, holding an umbrella. The footage shows the citizen following the police officer for several meters, before another officer intervenes to stop him, attempting to neutralize him by force.
This episode occurred at the height of tensions that moved from the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office to Parliament, as protesters threw Molotov cocktails and clashed with law enforcement.
Water cannons have been deployed to the perimeter in front of Parliament, accompanied by numerous police units, in order to disperse the protesters and maintain control of the situation. Footage from the scene shows a tense and unstable atmosphere, with a large presence of citizens and a harsh response from law enforcement.
