The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, has reacted to the attack on judge Tonin Sterkaj, in Shkodër, where a quantity of explosives was placed at the entrance of his apartment.
While expressing full support to judge Sterkaj and his family, the minister asks for the attack on the Shkodra judge to be clarified as soon as possible. Manja describes it as "an ugly act by men who seek to intimidate justice".
"I got to know Toni Sterkajn through my work as the head of the Shkoder Prosecutor's Office, during the years 2002-2007, and our friendship during those difficult times is our greatest asset. As a friend and colleague, today, I have expressed to Toni and his family his all my support!
As the Minister of Justice, I ask the competent bodies to clarify as soon as possible this ugly act of men who seek to intimidate justice, but who will not be able to succeed, even more so with Toni Sterkaj, the oldest and most experienced judge who has the justice system today in the jurisdiction of the first instance!
Today I am by the side of Tonin and his family and I am convinced that justice will prevail in this case as well!", says Manja.
