New details have been revealed from the arrest of the former head of the Albanian Road Authority, Evis Berberi, who was handcuffed yesterday, a few hours after leaving his office, under charges of money laundering and corruption.
Meanwhile, within this investigation, another arrest warrant for businessman Valter Begaj is confirmed.
During the checks in his apartment by the agents of BKH and SPAK, it was learned that several paintings worth thousands of euros, as well as a significant amount of money, were found on the director of ARRSH.
The paintings found were considered bribes by SPAK, but Evis Beberi was "removed" as an artist, claiming that he had made them himself and that they were not bought. Also, during the checks in the apartment, a number of personal items such as mobile phones, laptop, USB, and documents were seized. He also had checks in his office at the Albanian Road Authority.
