The weekend we are waiting for will be the coldest of the month of January!
This was announced by IGJEO expert Anira Gjoni, who in a telephone connection with the "Wake Up" show, indicates that the weather will be clear but will be accompanied by temperatures below 0 degrees.
She also states that the temperatures will gradually increase in the rest of the month, where the weather will be relatively warmer, just like it was in the first week of January.
Cold masses of polar origin are making this significant decrease in temperatures. Saturday is thought to be the coldest day of this week according to IGJEO. Amira Gjoni expert.
"Since we are under the influence of cold masses of polar origin throughout this week, we will be accompanied by clear weather but with low temperatures. We expect that during the weekend, that is Saturday and Sunday, the minimum temperatures will reach the lowest and the weather will be clear and stable. We are not expecting any rain. Tomorrow's temperatures we expect the minimum in the coastal areas to reach 5 degrees, in the low areas 2 degrees and in the mountainous areas we expect them to register at -4. At the weekend, we expect the minimums on the coast to drop to 3 degrees, in the low areas including the capital to -1 degrees and in the mountainous areas we expect them to go up to -6 degrees. These are not extreme minimums for our country, they are simply low temperatures and we consider them normal for the season we are in. We expect January to be as warm as the first week. After January 15, we expect the next two weeks to be relatively warm temperatures", says Anira Gjoni.
Regarding the frosts, the weather expert Anira Gjoni says that they will be present on the road axes of the mountainous areas, since it is not necessary to have precipitation, to have their presence if the temperatures are below 0 degrees.
"In mountainous areas, on road axes where temperatures will reach -6 degrees, care must be taken as they are accompanied by frost. It is not necessary for there to be rain to have frost, the frost that accompanies us in the mountainous areas is enough, where under the influence of low temperatures they turn into frost", says the IGJEO expert.
