Monika Kryemadhi has spoken out about the trial of Ilir Meta and his arrest. During an interview on the show "Kjo Javë" on News24, Kryemadhi said she was prejudiced, but despite this, she did not choose to play the role of the victim.

Kryemadhi: These verses have nothing to do with me, but with Meta's former political associates, former ministers, former MPs, and former close friends. We Albanians are the ones who are frustrated with the media. Don't expect me to put on a mask and cry. I didn't cry when Ilir Meta said I was divorcing Kryemadhi, don't expect me to lie down in the courtroom and in front of the cameras and play the role of the victim. I will continue my life, Erli, because I will feed myself, I will live, I will live for myself and for my children first and foremost. A colleague of mine, or a former colleague at a table with men, was discussing my media behavior and said, "I didn't know you were so slow... And I told him, I won't become a whore, but I will become a murderer for my children... I felt prejudiced." Today they are afraid to even come to the door in front of the court, even in solidarity. But for me, my battle is with public opinion to uncover the truth. But if this file and these accusations that 10% of the file are newspaper accusations, I do not accept any accusations… Who is the criminal offense? He claims that the criminal offense occurred after a year…
