Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed new details regarding the developments regarding the 5D file, where several senior officials of the municipality of Tirana have been arrested.
In an interview for the show "Te Paespozuarit", Lala said that he stated that the mayor Erion Verliaj is on the list of people who will be interrogated, for whom he said that he will be called first as a person who has knowledge. According to Llala, Veliaj is currently under investigation for his role.
"Veliaj is on the list of persons who will be questioned within the list of the 5D file. The prosecution is continuing to deal with the analysis of detained persons, the tenders suspected to have been developed in other districts have also been seized, but according to information, Veliaj will be interrogated first as a person in the know and then on the basis of investigations.
At the moment, the role of Veliaj is under investigation. He still has the quality but his role is being investigated if he was a contracting authority and on the other hand to see all the contacts because in the seized files of 5D of course Veliaj is among the leaders and officials of the municipality.
As for other investigations, we know that Veliaj is being investigated and for the Tirana incinerator, as part of this investigation, control was exercised in the apartments of some of the officials and phones and materials that could provide clues and data about the incinerator were taken. Tusha also has a clue about the 5D file. Today as we speak, the prosecution has gone and is seizing other practices in tenders in other districts such as Durrës , said Lala.
