"Venice does not dictate the mandate of the deputy", Frrok

Analyst Frrok Çupi says that the Socialist Party should give way to justice, regarding the mandate of Deputy Olta Xhaçka.

In an interview for "Newsline" on ABC News, Çupi said that the Venice Commission does not dictate the mandate of the deputy. According to him, the SP will pay for this action, which highlights two standards of action in relation to the law.

" It is very strange how this majority, there comes a moment that openly opposes the Constitutional Court, for a reason that is legislative and political. What is happening now seems unbelievable, because in all circumstances, even if God came down and said, a former minister, a former deputy is innocent, the Socialist Party should open the way to justice.

The guilt of a deputy is not simply proven by the court. In this case, the SP is really paying a very high cost, it will put a big question mark on the two standards that are being shown in relation to the law and the Constitutional Court. The Venice Commission was set in motion very late. These were matters that belonged to the Constitutional Court, and the Constitutional Court was in Albania, not in Brussels. The Venice Commission does not enter into this, whether or not to remove the mandate of a deputy ", he emphasized.
