Vlora has once again faced problems with its drinking water supply, after a serious breakdown in the main network led to the interruption of supply to the city.
The Vlora Region Water and Sewerage Authority announced that the defect occurred in pipeline 500 near the "Miramare" area, forcing the shutdown of all water supply stations.
According to the official announcement, Technical Branch teams are engaged in the field and will work throughout the night to repair the damage as quickly as possible.
" Due to a serious breakdown in the 500 water supply pipeline near the 'Miramare' area, all water supply stations have been shut down ," the Vlora Waterworks Authority said in a statement.
The company emphasized that the intervention aims to avoid further problems in water supply for citizens and businesses.
This is not the first time that Vlora has faced such situations. In December, the city was left without drinking water for several days, an outage that affected thousands of families and businesses, creating an emergency situation.
At the time, there were reactions and protests from residents, while the authorities were forced to procure the necessary part to repair the defect from Turkey, due to its lack on the domestic market.
