Speaking about the arrest of three Italians following the opposition protest held in Tirana on Friday, criminal expert Ervin Karamuço stated that authorities are investigating the circumstances of their entry and stay in Albania, as well as any links they may have with organized violent groups.
According to Karamuço, two of the Italians do not appear in the TIMS system, while one is suspected of having entered Albania from Kosovo.
"The illegal stay, the violation of the land border, is being investigated. Two of the Italians do not appear in TIMS, one entered from Kosovo. One of them has an Arab name ," he stated.
Karamuço said that the police have seized the phone records and are verifying the itinerary, contacts and people who introduced them to the protest crowd.

From the data referred to us, I can say that I have not seen tourists with masks committing violent acts. There is a question mark that is being investigated over their itinerary; records of who they communicated with have also been taken. The Italians have been caught for violent acts against the police; they have been filmed and photographed. In my opinion, they are part of those groups, but the police should investigate. They are part of groups that become mercenaries very easily, receive payments and become mercenaries to commit acts of violence. "- said Karamuço in Real Story.
