The family members of Azgan Mërnica, the author of the murder of police officer Novruz Cenaliaj in Fier, have spoken about the serious crime.
Azgan's uncle has called on his nephew to surrender wherever he is. He emphasized that he knows where he is, as he added that if he is found, he will be the one who will hand him over to the police.
As for Mërnica's sister, mother, who was present at the time of the incident, he said that she was shocked and hardly spoke a word.
"I want to express my condolences to the family, may God give you strength, we don't know what to say. My sister and nephew were buying food. My sister is impossible to talk at all. Everything happened very quickly. I have never seen Novruz. We don't know anything. We are looking for where it could be. I rang the phone, he doesn't answer. I wrote to him and he does not answer. We learned more about the event from the television than from the sister. I had no idea if the nephew was carrying a gun. We don't know where he got the gun. I have communicated with everyone we know and we are all searching together. I talked to the police, I told them that they will hand him over if we find him, but we don't have any information" , he said to "Euronews Albania".
Azgan Mërnica's aunt said that she was shocked by the incident. She has called on her nephew to come to justice.
