A massive fire engulfed the area called Shën Andreas at around 7:00 PM, near Gramë Bay, an area connected to Palasa.
The flames have scorched a significant area, mainly consisting of bushes, while the wind has helped spread the fire towards the Karaburun area.
Two fire engines from Himara and Vlora have arrived at the scene with 10 employees, but the difficult terrain has made the intervention almost impossible. Firefighters are still on the ground and are monitoring the situation.
According to fire department sources, it is hoped that the fire will be brought under control within the night hours.
