Today marks 20 days since Albanian Pano Ruçi has been on hunger strike in front of the Parliament in Athens. He is demanding the exhumation of the body of his son Denis Ruçi and the completion of a full autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Speaking to CNN Greece, Pano Ruçi said he is determined to continue his hunger strike.

He has stated that he will never accept the exhumation of his child just for a DNA test.

"I am here and I continue my strike for something basic. I will not stop, I will see it through to the end."

Pano Ruçi called on the Greek MPs and government to put themselves in his shoes for a moment.

"Think as parents, as fathers and mothers, about how they would feel. Let's change something within ourselves, let's think with our hearts and not with our heads," he emphasized.

His health has significantly deteriorated. The day before, he underwent medical tests at the hospital. However, he left there of his own free will and continued his hunger strike. Pano Ruçi has lost 10 kg since the day he started the strike.

"I will continue my fight. I am not well these days, my strength is exhausted, but the people who come here give me so much strength. People are angry about what is happening. I am asking for something basic, to know what my child died of,"  he concluded.

Pano Ruçi's son, Denis Ruçi, 22, is one of the 57 victims who lost their lives in the tragic train accident in Tempi, Greece. Pano Ruçi is demanding the exhumation of his son's body. The prosecutor of Larissa has ordered the exhumation of the body, a few days after the Albanian's hunger strike. But Pano Ruçi is also demanding the determination of the causes of his son's death.
