A fire that broke out this afternoon on the outskirts of Karbunara has burned dozens of acres of citrus and olive plantations.
In the area along the Lushnje-Berat national road axis at the exit of Karbunara, the fire has also burned several small warehouses belonging to farming families in the area.
It is learned that the flames are being brought under control by firefighters, but there are several small fires that are being fanned by strong winds.
It is suspected that the fire was accidental, while the intervention of firefighters prevented it from spreading to numerous greenhouses and vineyards.
Due to the difficult situation, two Lushnja firefighters are still in the area to extinguish the last fire sources.
