Fire in the surgery ward in Shkodër, the director of the hospital: Patients were evacuated in time, the situation under control

The surgery ward at the Shkodra hospital was engulfed in flames today. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical spark.

The director of the regional hospital of Shkodra, Senad Halluni, told the media that there are no injured patients and that the fire brigade immediately intervened to control the situation.

"The fire broke out in a room in the surgery ward. The fire department was called in record time and intervened immediately. The patients were transported immediately to the rest. There is no harm to the sick. We are working to find the cause, the situation is under control" , he said.
