The surgery pavilion at the Shkodra hospital was engulfed in flames today. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical spark.

The mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, also reacted to this event. Through a post on "Facebook", Beci stated that the fire was contained and no patient was injured.

"The fire that broke out in the surgery ward at Shkodra Hospital this evening has been contained.

The speed of information and intervention made the flames contained, saving the patients and the staff on duty.

Kudos to the fire brigade ," said Beci.
