A debate designed to stop a potentially game-changing interview...
There are many voices that support the argument that Edi Rama has started an abstract discussion with Blendi Fevziu to divert attention from the big problems and issues that have plagued the government and the majority.
It may be true, but Edi Rama has many ways to invent other events to divert attention. The elaborate debate with Fevziu does not seem to have a clear target to use the well-known journalist as an opportunity for political “relaxation”.
On the contrary, Fevziu's constant targeting clearly shows that Edi Rama has a personal grudge against the well-known journalist. And he is hitting him hard, demanding that he appear on the show to say something, or, as they say in Tirana's salons, to stop or soften an 'AS' that Blendi Fevziu has up his sleeve.
Who could this 'AS' be? Rumors say that Blendi Fevziu has prepared a sensational interview that could damage Edi Rama, the government and the majority. Some say that it is an interview that reveals a big "scoop", others that an interview has been prepared with a well-known diplomat, who could drop political "nuclear bombs" on Edi Rama.
Faced with this fact, Edi Rama seems unwilling to remain indifferent. If the version of a "nuclear bomb" exists, he seeks to confront the evil by taking a public stance, perhaps in parallel or in conjunction with the "bomb" interview.
Fevziu, on the other hand, seems noticeably calmer than Edi Rama, who is appearing busy and insistent. The journalist declared today that he will no longer respond to the prime minister remotely, but expects him to come on the show. But when? This seems to be the essential question.
Edi Rama is exerting open pressure, which is not related to any concern for his ministers, whom he treats as chess 'pieces'. What really worries him is the fear of a strong public diplomatic stance.
One such precedent was Yuri Kim's interview with Blendi Fevziu in 2024, when she pointed the finger at politicians in the government who were connected to crime. It was an interview that clearly spoke about the idea of Edi Rama's removal from power, and it was followed by the counter-movement with the arrest of Erion Veliaj.
An important diplomatic interview today would be fatal for Edi Rama and any stay in power would be nothing more than inertia. This would lead to the issue not of extending power, but of physical asylum, as is happening these days with the Ayatollah of Iran./ Pamphlet
