Killed by the criminal hand of mafia groups in Pristina, as a bystander, Zejnie Gashi gave her last farewell with the participation of family and friends. Three days after her murder, four suspects are on the run... The citizens of Pristina are living under anxiety and fear, threatened by bullets between these groups...
Kosovo was once again rocked by armed clashes between criminal groups that roam freely, with a focus on its capital, Pristina.
The bullets fired between these groups on Tuesday evening took the life of a bystander, 48-year-old Zejnie Gashi, who was buried yesterday.
In the announcement of her death by her family members, it was said that she was killed by mafia groups, which the institutions of Kosovo are never saying, although the late Gashi is not the only one in Pristina who dies from clashes between gangs.
"On 27.03.2024, by the criminal hand of mafia groups in Pristina, as a bystander, our sister was killed," the family's announcement states. But none of the heads of state; like Prime Minister Albin Kurti, President Vjosa Osmani, Minister of Internal Affairs Xelal Sveçla did not condemn the act. No press release, silence from the state.

The conflict started between Fitim Doda, known by the nickname "Cuci" and the brothers Ahmet and Naim Berisha in the Kolovica neighborhood, where 30-year-old Egzon Haziri from Podujeva was also killed. He died at the scene. Haziri was in the car with Fitim Doda and several others.
The Kosovo police have declared four people wanted as suspects for serious murder; Fitim Doda, Arjan Sijarina, Ahmet Berisha and Naim Berisha.

"The general investigation unit that operates within the Regional Directorate of Police in Pristina, with authorization from the competent prosecutor's office, requests assistance from citizens in providing information, which would help in the arrest of suspected persons", it is stated in the appeal of Kosovo Police.
Although a number of actions have been taken by the police, the continuous search, the raid of several locations, etc., the authorities confirm for Pamphlet that the suspects are still on the run.
It's been three days since these four people were declared wanted and they are still elusive by law enforcement.
On the evening of August 4, 2023, Kastriot Ramadani was left without signs of life, while 17 others were injured, from gunfire at the Bon Vivant bar among mafia groups.
Andi Pajaziti, known by the nickname "The Italian", is the main suspect for the serious murder that happened on August 4 in the "Bon Vivant" bar in Pristina.
The 29-year-old was also known for security and justice institutions in Kosovo. However, he was always acquitted of the charges brought against him and acted as a dangerous criminal group in Pristina.
So, a person who has more than 50 indictments is free even with a weapon, and has free access everywhere. After this case, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama came out with the statement that he has information from the Kosovo Police, that after midnight in the capital, every second or third car that passes through the streets of the capital is armed. The action started for checking cars and seizing weapons without permission after the call of President Rama lasted temporarily.
According to the statistics of the Kosovo Police for the year 2023, the number of murders in Kosovo has increased by 38.09 percent.
Meanwhile, 37,215 quantities of ammunition of various calibers were confiscated and compared to the same period of 2022, an increase of 24.45% was noted. / Pamphlet
