On May 17–21, 2026, Prime Minister Edi Rama was in South Korea, accompanied by his wife Linda Rama and a government delegation, on a visit officially presented as participation in an Asian conference on expanding partnerships in technology and innovation.
Apart from a 30-minute meeting between Edi Rama and his South Korean counterpart Kim Min-seok and the introduction of Minister “Diella,” no other details were made public about the four-day visit. No intergovernmental agreements, memorandums of cooperation, or contracts between companies from the two countries were announced.
But the real object of this visit, according to information received by Pamfleti, turns out to have been completely different.
Informed sources claim that Edi Rama's participation in this private conference, organized annually in South Korea, was made possible through the lobbying of businessman Agron Papuli, Honorary Consul of South Korea in Albania and one of the people close to the prime minister.
This lobbying, according to the same sources, was carried out in collaboration with South Korean businessman Dae Yeol Ohm, owner of the company "YuraTech Co., Ltd", who has had business interests in Albania for years and has benefited from personalized government decisions.
With Decision No. 14/3, dated February 12, 2019, of the Strategic Investment Committee and then with Decision No. 70, dated February 13, 2019, the Albanian government granted the company "Yura Corporation Albania" about 49 thousand 347 m² of land and Albpetrol facilities, with a symbolic contract of 1 euro and a 60-year term, also granting it the status of "Strategic Investor".
According to sources, this area was separated from Albpetrol's assets after government interventions and decisions.
The connections between the Korean businessman and Agron Papuli are well-known in the vehicle trading sector, while the lobbying for Edi Rama's visit to South Korea and the meetings held there are related to new economic interests in Albania.
According to information provided by sources at the Ministry of Finance, Edi Rama has given the in-principle agreement for a South Korean and Chinese consortium to be involved in major state projects in Fier.
One of them is related to Albpetrol and its assets, while the other project has to do with the territory of the former Azotik in Fier.
According to the same sources, the territory of the former Azotik is expected to be made available for industrial investments for the production of vehicles, spare parts and other economic activities.
According to circulating information, long-term concession schemes with favorable fiscal conditions are being considered, justified by the creation of new jobs and the economic development of the region.
A week after Edi Rama's return from South Korea, according to Pamphlet sources, working groups have been set up in the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy that are preparing preliminary documentation for new projects.
The Albanian government has not yet made any of these plans public.
He also did not provide any explanation for the fact that the Albanian flag was missing from the meeting presented as official between Edi Rama and his South Korean counterpart.

Megjithate nese deshiron Edi per te gjetur ndonje fake Land ( i paafte si nga ana intelektuale dhe profesionale), pretendent per 49% te biznesit une me RO mund ti dergoj nje Katrina uragan, nhe Fukushima termet, nhe djegie totale nga koka deri tek kembet me temp. 47 grade.
