Nora Gega and Blendi Klosi, two political and business figures in Albania, have now finalized their divorce after a long period of de facto separation.
The divorce petition was filed by Nora Klosi, the day before Valentine's Day, on February 13, 2025, where Judge Artan Çupi approved a notarial declaration by the Klosi couple, in which the husband and wife consented to the end of their marriage.
However, this separation has highlighted another important issue: the couple's assets.
Blendi Klosi, currently a member of parliament and former Minister of Tourism and Environment, owns a luxury villa in the "Green Coast" complex in Palasa. This complex has attracted media attention for possible links to corruption, as several other villas in the same complex have been seized by SPAK as part of investigations into illegally acquired assets.
The Klosi villa, valued at over 1 million euros, is one of the couple's most controversial assets. It is registered in the name of sports moderator Dritan Shakohoxha, closely linked to Blendi Klosi. This fact has raised suspicions and allusions to the possibility of using other names to hide illegal assets. Part of the investigation is the possibility that the villa is linked to corruption practices and money laundering.
The villa is distinguished by its luxurious appearance, with quality workmanship, unauthorized additions, and extravagant furnishings, making it stand out from the other villas in the complex.
It is learned that during the construction phase, Blendi Klosi played an active role, providing the necessary guidance for the construction of the villa. Also, this property was frequented by Klosi and his family.
However, his and Shakohoxha's wealth has raised more questions, as neither of them has legitimate sources of income that would justify the purchase and concealment of such a large fortune.
