Elion Mustafaj, the SP "soldier" and Soros' man in the system, has passed the vetting process with a file full of allegations of corruption, concealment of evidence and links to crime, while SPAK and KLP remain silent...
Since June 2023, Elion Mustafaj has been the head of the Fier Prosecutor's Office, but according to the files, he is one of the prosecutors with the most problematic history in the Albanian justice system.
During the years 2004–2022, 60 denunciations, 7 criminal charges, and 2 official proceedings were registered against him, documented with evidence.
The serious allegations date back to the last three years of his career, where he is accused of links to criminal and corruption entities.
During the period when he was a Judicial Police officer in Durrës and then a prosecutor in Korça, Vlora, Lushnje and Fier, Elion Mustafaj was accused of favoritism towards corrupt officials, illegal builders, traffickers, smugglers, money launderers and perpetrators of serious crimes.
In the years 2016–2020, during his tenure as prosecutor in Vlora, seven criminal charges were filed against him.
· The report dated October 25, 2016 for concealing evidence was held hostage for more than a year by his colleagues in Fier, who on December 23, 2017 refused to register it as a criminal case.
· On September 18, 2017 , another complaint for disregard of evidence and the plaintiff dragged on for 10 months in Fier and was then sent to Vlora, where Mustafaj himself was a prosecutor. After three years, in July 2020, the case returned to Fier and was dismissed for “lack of evidence.”
· On September 1, 2020 , SPAK registered a report against him for four criminal offenses, but he was also transferred to Fier and ended up being dismissed.
· On September 3, 2020 , another report for favoritism towards criminal entities was closed without investigation on September 17, 2020.
· On June 22, 2021 , Mustafaj closed a file without questioning either the complainant or the persons under investigation.
· In March 2021 , another report to SPAK by citizen VT for falsifying records and concealing evidence was rejected on July 6, 2021, without an in-depth investigation.
In total, 33 complaints have been registered for investigation abuses in Vlora, 15 in Korça and 12 in Lushnje, where there are accusations of manipulation of criminal cases in favor of financially powerful individuals.
Despite this heavy record, Elion Mustafaj has been rated "very good" by the General Prosecutor's Office and the High Prosecutorial Council. He has also received a positive assessment from the Classified Information Security Directorate, although his security certificate has been suspended several times for suspicious contacts with individuals from the criminal world.
In the vetting process, Mustafaj passed without any penalty, under the decision of the commission composed of Valbona Sanxhaktari, Firdes Shuli and Olsi Komici, currently a member of the Socialist Party, who have been identified as close to the Soros Foundation. He is considered a "political soldier" of leftist structures and an active patron of the Socialist Party.
In addition to suspicions of numerous abuses during his tenure, his professional biography contains serious discrepancies in education, unclear periods during his year of leave from the KLP, as well as evidence of suspicious activities during his stay in the US.
According to sources, Elion Mustafaj has also been involved in major deals related to the investigation of the "Bankers Petroleum" file, where he is suspected of having intervened to protect the interests of the company and the network involved in fiscal fraud with damages of hundreds of millions of euros to the Albanian state.
