From Ilir Beqja's group, only he and manager Ermal Kurtulaj were arrested for corruption and fictitious invoices with tenders, through the transfer of funds to the accounts of his restaurant "Gzona".
SPAK investigated and confirmed that comedian Ermal Mamaqi was also part of the "Beqja" group, but with an absurd decision, he was cleared of criminal liability, dismissing the case against him.
Meanwhile, SPAK did not include the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, in the investigative file, even though she was involved in the affairs of forgery and financial benefits with Ilir Beqja.
In the investigation conducted by BKH agents, Minister Mirela Kumbaro was found to be an accomplice in the theft of EU and state funds, while in the final investigative material that SPAK submitted to the Special Court, her name was removed.

In parallel with Ilir Beqja and in agreement with him, for the same official activity at his restaurant and with the same private firm "Landways International", the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, made payments through a fictitious tender, for the activity financed by the Directorate of Donations.
BKH and SPAK filed as criminal evidence the fact that on March 10, 2023, Minister Mirela Kumbaro held a fictitious tender for 462 thousand Euros, for the same activity that Ilir Beqja's directorate financed.
Meanwhile, on March 23, 2023, Kumbaro signed a contract with the same firm "Landways International" and through it with Ilir Beqja's restaurant, giving him 100% of the value of the limit fund.
According to the investigative file that BKH submitted to SPAK, it turned out that 130 thousand Euros were spent from Mirela Kumbaro's tender, "de-facto", while in the documents, she declared expenses of 462 thousand Euros, or 332 thousand Euros more than Ilir Beqja for the same "FESTA" activity.
Kumbaro's son, a "specialist" in funds in Ilir Beqja's directorate
During the investigation, BKH also discovered the fact that Tom Furxhi, the son of Mirela Kumbaro (Furxhi), was appointed Head of Contact for Foreign Donors at the Agency headed by Ilir Beqja in July 2023.
In this position, Kumbaro's son's work was linked to the tenders that Ilir Beqja made with EU funds, which he took to his restaurant "Gzona", and even to parallel tenders that his mother made, on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism-Environment, in collaboration with Ilir Beqja.
But Mirela Kumbaro's son left after the investigation began at Ilir Beqja's Agency, as is understood, informed by her friends at SPAK or BKH, leaving mother and son out of the investigation file.
To avoid the criminal consequences of the forged signatures, the minister's son was given false papers, as if he was employed as a "Summer Intern" at Ilir Beqja's directorate, when the directorate is neither a hotel nor a restaurant.
Within 24 hours of leaving that position, on September 1, 2023, Mirela Kumbaro sent her son, as an "Albanian government intern", an international relations specialist for European security and diplomacy at the "GLOBSEC" center in Brussels, where he remained until December 2023.
After the arrest of Ilir Beqja, his mother and son collaborators, thanks to the machinations of SPAK bosses with criminal records, are calm and free: Godfather, together with her prime minister, continues to donate "small plots" of land for villas, tower palaces and resorts in protected and coastal areas, while his son lives in Paris, where he enjoys the millions of shopping sprees of his mother, the minister./ Pamphlet
