A luxurious villa, on the edge of the cliff, with stunning views of a still virgin beach.

In the most beautiful segment of the Albanian Riviera, where the road from Saranda to Ksamil descends near the Mirror Beach, a keen eye can spot something that does not appear in any official document.

A luxurious villa, on the edge of a cliff, with stunning views of a still virgin beach. According to local residents and workers who participated in the construction, this property belongs to Prime Minister Edi Rama, but it is not listed in his asset declarations.

From the evidence collected, the construction was financed by so-called "strategic investors", whose names are kept as a state secret.

Sources close to the local administration of Saranda say that the procedures for the construction permit have been passed "with priority" and without any environmental control, even though the area is part of a protected landscape.

On the ground, every trace of technical documentation has disappeared, while the workers themselves have been forced to sign confidentiality agreements not to reveal the real owner.

This is not just a legal violation. It is a flagrant abuse of power, where governance becomes a tool to privatize common wealth.

And while the government preaches transparency and the fight against illegal construction, the prime minister builds in one of the most sensitive areas of the country, violating every principle of the rule of law.

The fact that this villa is not declared raises serious suspicions of money laundering, conflict of interest, and corruption at the highest levels of government.

In any European country, such an affair would bring immediate resignations and investigations. In Albania, it is simply covered up by propaganda and judicial silence.

As long as the institutions turn a blind eye and the pro-government media pretend not to see, the Beach of Mirrors villa will remain there, not only as a symbol of illegal luxury, but also as a monument to the political hypocrisy that has turned corruption into the norm rather than the exception./ Infront.al
