After 4 years of judicial efforts with international arbitrations in the USA and Europe, the Albanian government has not been able to block and cancel the fine of 130 million Euros in favor of Francesco Bechetti, who, by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama, closed and confiscated the television 'AGON' '.
By decision of October 17, 2024, the Court of Seizures in Brussels decided that "Eurocontrol" should block the income of "Albcontrol" in the amount of 130 million Euros and transfer it to the citizen Francesco Bechetti, who won the arbitration trial against the Albanian government.
Faced with this final confiscation decision, the Albanian government has been forced to pay the fine to "Bechetti", although for 4 years, Prime Minister Edi Rama has sworn that he would not give him a penny.
But the prime minister himself, for the value of 130 million Euros received in the state budget from "Eurocontrol", has signed the acceptance of the payment of the fine imposed by the international arbitration, removing it from the company "Albcontrol".
According to information from the Ministry of Finance, the "Bechetti" fine will be included in the 2025 budget under the item "Income-Expenses", because a year ago, "Albcontrol" became a company with 100% state funding.
So, it will be an income for the state through "Abcontrol", but which will be paid immediately as an alleged expense for paying a fine, when it is not a public expense, but a fine obligation to a foreign citizen, due to the conflict created by Prime Minister Edi Rama .
For an ego and personal grudge of Prime Minister Edi Rama, this fine worth 15% of the annual pension fund will be paid with Albanian taxes.
The value of this fine will be planned in the annual budget of 2025, but not directly in the project presented by the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, but as if it is a proposal from SP deputies, as an addition to the actual budget, and will be passed and approved in the Commission of Economy-Finance led by Eduard Shalsi.
This fine will be repaid, because the Court of Seizures in Brussels has left the Albanian government no other appeal option to block it, but an order to pay it./ Pamphlet
