Ukraine has said that Moscow is looking for "false excuses" to carry out further attacks.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister has called on world leaders to condemn what he called blatant manipulation by Russia.
Referring to Moscow's accusations of an alleged Ukrainian attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin's residence, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibikha said on the X platform that this is " a standard Russian tactic: accusing the other side of something you are doing or planning to do yourself."
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also rejected the Russian accusations, calling them "false." He announced that he had also discussed the issue with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
"These are lies ," Zelensky said, adding that Russia aims to undermine the progress achieved between Ukraine and the United States in peace talks.
At the same time, the Ukrainian president warned that Russia may be preparing attacks on government buildings in Kiev and called on the US to react in accordance with the threats coming from Moscow.
