Trump cut short his participation in the G7 summit in Canada a day earlier to return to Washington, a move that signals the seriousness of the issue. In response to this request, more than 30 US KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft have been deployed to the region in recent days, in preparation for the possibility that Trump may order in-flight refueling assistance for Israeli aircraft as they carry out strikes in Iranian airspace.
