More details have emerged from the shooting at a bar in Belgrade, where one person was reported dead and five injured.
The horrific shooting is believed to have taken place around 2:00 p.m. According to eyewitnesses, an unknown person got out of a white van, approached the bar from behind, entered the cafe and started shooting. Four or five shots were allegedly heard. A huge commotion followed. It was not known who was going where and in which direction. Screams and wailing were heard, Serbian media reported.
" The woman who was killed is suspected to have been sitting at the first or second table by the door of the cafe. The attacker fled in a white van, but it is not yet known whether he had an accomplice driving it or acted alone ," a witness said.
"We were working and suddenly a shot was heard. It wasn't a volley, but there were a few shots here and there. Some windows were broken, probably from shops and cars," said a worker from a nearby service station, adding that two men, two women were injured and one woman was killed.
According to the available information, VD (51), M. Lj. (42), AO (59) received gunshot wounds. M. Lj. was shot in the lower left leg, while AO in the left thigh. NN (33) and LD (29) were also injured, who received injuries to the legs and back.
