A serious accident has been recorded on the A3 motorway in Frankfurt, Germany. Nine vehicles collided with each other, while one of them burst into flames.
As a result, three people were killed in the mass accident. According to Bild, the victims are suspected to have been tourists, as several suitcases along with two assembled bicycles were packed in the back of their car.
According to police, the exact cause of the fatal accident between the Offenbacher Kreuz and Frankfurt-Süd intersections is still unclear.
Two young men, a 20-year-old and a 21-year-old, lost their lives in one of the vehicles involved in the accident. A 38-year-old man suffered fatal injuries in another vehicle that flew off the median. Two people died at the scene.
In addition, two people involved in the accident suffered minor injuries. Meanwhile, car parts flew several meters, scattering across all lanes.
According to police, the highway was completely closed in both directions until early morning in both directions of traffic.
