Engine fire alarm, plane makes forced landing; what happened in Greece

A plane has made an emergency landing at Mytilene airport after an engine fire alarm.

According to ERT, a plane that landed at Mytilene airport on Tuesday morning "showed" indications of a fire in its engine. The plane landed at 07:50.

The mobilization of firefighters and airport authorities was immediate.

This is an Olympic Air ATR72 aircraft from Athens with a crew of 4 and 59 passengers who have landed safely.

The captains reported a sign of fire on the cockpit instruments, however, no damage was found to the aircraft after the inspection.
