The event two days ago in Lutsa, Greece, where six people with Turkish citizenship were killed, resembles a real mafia movie.
The Greek media reports that after the checks, passports and other items were found in their bags which confirm that they had decided to leave Greece immediately and were there to hide.
There are data from the Greek police that the incident took place for the purpose of revenge and that it was about settling accounts between two gangs of Kurds that have been clashing for years in Istanbul.
The last murder happened after that of August 2023 in Paris, where it is suspected that the group executed there had eliminated a well-known figure of the Istanbul gangs, named Halil Ay.
Then according to Turkish media, the group that executed Halil Ay left France as they were being chased there and settled in Greece with the intention of then moving again to Istanbul.
The Greek media have published the names of those killed, who are: Doruk Ersu Büyüktunç; Abdurrahman Tekru; Omer Kanza; Ozan Kaan Tozlu; Baris Cagan and Burak Tahmaz.
The rivalry between the Dalton gang and Red Kit
They look like characters from Western cartoons, from which they got their names, but it's about two rival gangs in Turkey, who are killing each other, even across the border.
The group of six people who were killed recently in Greece belongs to the Dalton gang led by Baris Boyu.
The Daltons are a group of Kurdish origin, but they control whole neighborhoods in Istanbul and their direct opponents are the "Red Kit" gang, who control the YeniBosna neighborhood.
At the head of the group is a character known as Ferhat Mardin. The Turkish police have information that the group of Halil Ay has joined the group of Ferhat Mardin in this assassination, killing the six people of the opposing gang.
It seems that the plans for the assassination started after the Baris Boyun group killed Ferhat Ay's brother a few months ago in Istanbul as well as Ferhat himself in Paris. The suspicions are that the other brother, Muhamet Ay, made an agreement with the RedKit gang, attacking Baris Boyu's group.
Turkey has become a haven for gangs and armed groups, who control cities and neighborhoods of major cities, occasionally clashing with each other over areas of control.
