An Iranian prayer app was hacked to display anti-regime messages in support of the Iranian people, social media users reported before the internet outage, as US and Israeli strikes targeted the IRGC and regime facilities across Iran.
It is not clear who is responsible for the cyberattack, with one of the messages reading "Help has arrived," an apparent reference to a message issued by US President Donald Trump in January 2026.
A message in Persian read: "For the freedom of Iranian brothers and sisters, this is a call to all oppressive forces, put down your weapons or join the liberation forces. Only in this way can you save your lives for Iran."

Messages are encouraging armed forces to defect and "protect your compatriots. They will protect you in return."
Another message says, "Help has arrived."
Another, "It's the time for reckoning."
