The Pentagon has announced that it will increase the production of several defense systems and ammunition, as part of a strategy to strengthen military capabilities.
According to an official statement, the plan includes accelerating the production of precision-guided missiles and further developing the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, which is designed to intercept missiles at high altitudes.
The Department of Defense emphasizes that this initiative will significantly increase production capacity. "This will accelerate the production of the precision strike missile," the statement said.
Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth aims to "establish the defense industrial base on a war footing," meaning increased production and acceleration of the military industry.
The plan also includes expanding the production of navigation systems and developing electronic warfare technologies, which are considered essential for modern operations.
