The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have attacked Imam Hossein University in Iran, which they describe as the main military university affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to the IDF, the university operated under a civilian profile, while research activities for advanced weapons were carried out within it. The Israeli military stressed that the institution had direct ties to the IRGC and played a role in supporting military activities.
In a statement, the IDF said that several countries have imposed sanctions on the university and its senior officials because of these alleged links and activity.
On the other hand, there was no immediate official reaction from Iranian authorities regarding this claim.
According to the Daily Post, tensions between Iran, Israel and the United States have increased in recent times, fueled by disagreements over Iran's nuclear program, its regional influence and support for armed groups in the Middle East.
