President Donald Trump has declared that if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately Open for Business, the US will completely destroy assets, including power and oil plants.
This is not the first time he has posted something similar, the US president has updated his deadline for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz in various posts on Truth Social.
March 21 : Trump said he would "strike and destroy Iran's various nuclear power plants, starting with the largest ones first" if Iran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.
March 23 : He later said the two countries had had "very good and productive talks." He said he would postpone any military strikes against power plants and energy infrastructure for five days.
March 26 : Trump said he would extend this pause by 10 days, in response to what he called a request from the Iranian government, bringing the deadline to April 6.
Today , he said the US is in "serious discussions" with a new Iranian regime, which he said could end our military operations in Iran. But if a deal is not "reached soon," Trump says, the US will "end our wonderful 'standstill.'"
