
The European Union has transferred 1 billion euros in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, bringing the total support since the start of the Russian offensive in Ukraine to 150 billion euros.
The news was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a post on the social platform X, where she emphasized the EU's continued commitment to helping Ukraine cope with the consequences of the war.
"Today we give Ukraine 1 billion new euros, bringing our total support to almost 150 billion," von der Leyen wrote.
This amount includes financial, military, humanitarian aid, and support for the reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by the war.
