Russia has reacted sharply to the European Union's decision to approve a new financing package for Ukraine, accusing the EU of "inciting war".
Kirill Dmitriev, a key Kremlin envoy in negotiations with the US, has declared that EU leaders are "warmongers", noting that countries within the bloc that are more likely to be involved in the conflict, such as Hungary and Slovakia, have been ignored.
Dmitriev's comments come after the approval of a 90 billion euro loan for Ukraine, which was approved without the use of frozen Russian assets, a proposal that has caused tension and legal uncertainty, particularly in Belgium.
The Russian reaction follows Moscow's previous concerns that any financial aid to Ukraine would contribute to the intensification of the war, further increasing international tensions.
