Retired NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina Grossu Biffle, their two children and the plane's two pilots are the victims of this accident, according to representative Richard Hudson, a family friend.
"I am devastated by the loss of Greg, Kristina and their children, and my heart goes out to all who loved them. They were friends who lived their lives centered around helping others. Greg was a great NASCAR champion who thrilled millions of fans. But he was also an extraordinary man and will be remembered for his service to others, as well as his fearless demeanor on the track ," Hudson wrote on X on Thursday, Dec. 18.

According to information from local authorities, the Cessna C550 aircraft had taken off normally, but shortly after takeoff it reportedly experienced technical problems. The pilot is suspected of attempting to immediately return to the airport, but the plane crashed before it could make an emergency landing.
