Biden phone conversation with Netanyahu: Remove the troops from the Egypt-Gaza border!

US President Joe Biden has asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to withdraw troops from part of the Egypt-Gaza border.

During their phone conversation yesterday, Biden made this request in the hope of accepting a cease-fire pact, an agreement that will lead to the release of hostages and temporary "peace" between the two countries.

According to La Repubblica, 3 Israeli officials said Netanyahu partially accepted Biden's request. According to their officials, Biden asked the prime minister for Israeli forces to withdraw from a 1-2 kilometer strip along the Egypt-Gaza border.

Biden made it clear to Netanyahu that accepting this request could help advance negotiations toward an agreement.
