US President Donald Trump left open the possibility of participating in talks between Russia and Ukraine on Thursday in Turkey.
"I think there could be a good outcome from the meeting on Thursday in Turkey between Russia and Ukraine," the US president said, according to Reuters.
"I was thinking about going. I don't know where I'll be on Thursday. I have a lot of meetings, but I was thinking about traveling to Turkey. There is a possibility, I think, if I believe something can be done, but we have to make it happen," Trump told reporters at the White House.
Conversation with Xi Jinping
Trump also announced a conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping "possibly by the end of the week," Donald Trump announced in statements from the White House.
Commenting on the tariff deal, he said his government had achieved a "full reset of relations with China," after weeks of escalating trade war.
"The best part of the deal," Trump added, "is that China has agreed to open up to American business."
Trump said the US had "opened up" its business to Chinese imports, but China had not done the same for American businesses.

Trump went on to say that his administration made a "great trade deal" with China, which "was originally a lot bigger, but they canceled it at the last minute."
The US will continue to apply a 30% tariff on Chinese products, while American products face a 10% tariff on China for 90 days, as part of the agreement reached between the two countries.
"I prevented a nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan"
Meanwhile, Donald Trump said today that he had prevented a "nuclear conflict" between India and Pakistan, two days after the ceasefire, which ended the most serious military confrontation between the two neighboring countries in two decades.
