The American Secretary of State, Antoni Blinken, warned Hamas and the confirmation of the US on Israel's side with only two lines.
"The message I bring to Israel is this: you can be strong enough to defend yourself. But as long as America exists, you will never have to do that," said Blinken at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He emphasized the military support provided by the US and the work being done to release hostages and strengthen security through diplomacy throughout the Middle East.
"We repeat Biden's very clear warning to all (states and non-states) around the world who are thinking of taking advantage of this situation to attack Israel, don't do it because the US will defend Israel. We have deployed aircraft carriers in the eastern Mediterranean and will provide further support. We are keeping our promise to bring ammunition, along with other defense materials. Military shipments have arrived. We will work with the Congress to fulfill all the requirements," he said.
Confirming that 25 Americans have been killed in Israel since Saturday morning when the attacks began, Blinken added that "the inhumane and brutal acts of Hamas bring to mind the worst of ISIS."
"However, he stressed that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people and aims to destroy Israel, so the US will work to stop the spread of the conflict.
"We will try to prevent the conflict from spreading. We have spoken to all countries about these attacks and there is no justification for such crimes. Even the Prime Minister said "this should be a moment to condemn terrorism". Individuals from 36 countries were killed in Saturday's attacks. Anyone who loves peace and justice must condemn the terror of Hamas. We know that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people. Instead of promoting welfare, Hamas rules in a dictatorial manner. Hamas does not stand for the future, it has only one agenda to destroy Israel. Israel has the right and obligation to defend itself and ensure that this never happens again," said Antony Blinken.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, directly attacked Hamas, saying that the organization "has shown itself to be an enemy of civilization."
"Killing young people at an outdoor music festival, slaughtering entire families, killing parents in front of children and killing children in front of parents, burning people alive, beheading, kidnapping a young boy, not only kidnapped, attacked, injured and the sickening display of celebrating these horrors shows that Hamas is the enemy of civilization," he said.
