The speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has declared that the US has entered a new phase of the war that aims to overthrow Iran from within. According to Iranian state television, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who has emerged as a key figure since the beginning of the conflict, declared that the US blockade is aimed at sowing economic pressure and internal discord.
"Donald Trump divides the country into two groups: hardliners and moderates, and then immediately talks about a naval blockade to force Iran into submission through economic pressure and internal discord. The enemy has entered a new phase and wants to activate economic pressure and internal discord through naval blockade and media advertising to weaken us or even cause us to collapse from within ," he said.
Earlier today, a security source told Iranian television that Tehran will soon take "unprecedented military action" due to the US blockade.
