Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Beersheba, a city in southern Israel, after it was hit by an Iranian missile attack. He said they are waiting for President Trump's decision to definitively eliminate the risk of a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran.
Netanyahu added that he has confidence in the US and the decision that President Trump will make, while there was no shortage of compliments and superlatives for him.
"President Trump will do what is best for America. I trust his judgment, he is an extraordinary friend, an extraordinary world leader, an extraordinary friend of Israel and the Jewish people. And we will do what we have to do, and we are doing it. We are committed to destroying the threat of nuclear annihilation against Israel. But I have to say that the partnership with the United States, the partnership with President Trump, who I speak to almost every day, is incredible.
"I think his determination, his resolve and his clarity when he says that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and for that to happen, Iran cannot enrich uranium. It's that simple. He gave them the opportunity to do this through negotiations, they convinced them. You don't have to convince Donald Trump, you know, he knows the game, and I think we're both committed to making sure that Iran doesn't have a nuclear weapon and it won't ," Netanyahu said.
He was asked whether the US would join the strikes and said it was a decision up to Trump himself, but said the US is "helping a lot already" by helping to protect Israel's skies.
