The Serbian newspaper "Danas" wrote about the September 24 attack in Banjska, northern Kosovo.
Recalling the terrorist attack in September of last year, for which the regime in Belgrade was widely labeled as the mastermind, and Milan Radoicic, then vice-president of the Serbian List, as the mastermind of the attack, two days ago the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that competent bodies will file charges against people in Banjska for criminal offenses "for example causing general danger".
"And how can we accuse them of any other criminal offense when they come out and say 'fine', we did our job, because according to Resolution 1244 it belongs to Serbia and according to that resolution there should have been 1,000 soldiers and policemen who they were not allowed, we had to defend our country'. And what will we tell them? Will you be punished for this? Or we will accept that Kosovo is an independent state and we will punish them from that point of view" , said Vucic.
We remind you that the demand that Milan Radoicic, who five days after the attack in Banjska resigned from the post of vice-president of the Serbian List and admitted that he was responsible for the attack in Banjska, to be arrested and prosecuted comes more and more from the representatives of the EU- and the USA.
The last in the series of "pressures" was from American Senator Jeanne Shaheen, who last week in Munich, during a security conference attended by Aleksandër Vucic, demanded the arrest of Milan Radoicic.
During the Munich Conference, Shaheen met separately with the President of Serbia, Aleksandër Vucic, and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti. During this conference, she said that Radoicic "should be arrested and go to prison".
He admitted complicity in what happened on September 24 and took responsibility for the victims of the attack. That is why it must be answered. "Serbia and Kosovo should cooperate on this issue" , she said after the meeting with Vucic and Kurti.
It has been suggested to the competent body, the public prosecutor, that an indictment be filed, and even the qualification of the criminal offense with a completely extralegal, exclusively political explanation, which is irrelevant, has been suggested. Furthermore, mitigating circumstances have also been suggested for the possible future defendant Radoicic, said the lawyer Vesna Rakic Vodineliq for Danas.
"Just another in the long line of serious interventions by the president in the judiciary. This is just another in the long series of serious interventions by the President of the Republic in justice, she adds, in which she has nothing to ask for, except for possible pardons.
The State Prosecutor and the High Council of Prosecutors are obliged to warn him publicly, because this statement was made in a public space, which should not have been made or repeated in the future. The competent public prosecutor does not dare to act according to the instructions of the president, neither in terms of the procedure, nor in terms of the qualification of the criminal offense, nor in relation to the "mitigating " circumstances, she added.
In a show on RTS, two days ago, Vucic repeated that he was to blame for Banjska.
“I'm guilty, whatever you want… Let me explain what happened in November and December… What happened after that… It's just not worth it. No, I'm not happy, I've prayed a million times… Would I be on the side of those who commit cold blooded murder after this? No, I will always be on the side of the Serbs who are persecuted like beasts, and there is no great philosophy here ," said Vucic, among other things. /Danas
