A Ukrainian soldier has set a world record for snipers by neutralizing two Russian soldiers with a single shot from a distance of 4 kilometers, according to the Ukrainian military.
The shot was carried out by a member of the special forces unit "Pryvyd" or "Ghost" near the town of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, on Thursday, August 14, and was captured on video, which was published by military analyst Yuri Butusov.
According to the New York Post , citing local media, the shot was carried out by a Ukrainian-made 14.5 mm Alligator rifle and was guided with the help of artificial intelligence and drones.
She penetrated a window behind which the two Russian soldiers were, neutralizing them.
The 4 km distance is now considered a record in the history of military conflicts. It surpassed the previous record, also achieved by a Ukrainian sniper in 2023. At that time, a 58-year-old veteran of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) shot a Russian soldier from a distance of 3,800 meters using a "Lord of the Horizon" rifle.
