A day after the Washington summit, which could change history by bringing peace to Ukraine, a series of questions are raised regarding the negotiations, the details, or even the meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.
And while the parties involved are trying to achieve peace, during the night Russia attacked Ukraine with 10 missiles and 270 drones.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing is scheduled for noon today, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This meeting will be held online, and is expected to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.
On the other hand, it seems that a meeting between Zelensky and Putin, if agreed within 2 weeks, could be held in Geneva. This proposal was initially made by Emmanuel Macron, and today it has also been supported by Italy.
"Geneva could be the right place" for the Putin-Zelensky talks. Italy is in favor of holding them in Geneva because it is a country that has always worked to build peace. Rome would also have been an ideal place, desired by the Americans, the Ukrainians and others, but there is the issue of the International Criminal Court, so it would have been more complicated. I believe that Geneva could be the best place. Italy is in favor of this and I will also say this to Minister Cassis today," said Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
