Iran has launched airstrikes against the US base in Erbil, Iraq, the US Navy's Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain and near Tel Aviv.
The news was reported by Iranian state television, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The combined attacks were carried out using Qadr, Kheibar Shekan and Khorramshahr missiles.
International media reports that a powerful explosion was heard near the US Consulate in the northern Iraqi city of Erbil, as air defense systems intercepted a suicide drone targeting the area.
Air defenses were activated and the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was neutralized near the consulate, causing a powerful explosion.
Local media also reported that air defense systems were simultaneously activated in the Sorani area, where two more drones were destroyed.
Explosions and air defense activity have been reported in Erbil almost daily since Iran began retaliatory strikes following US and Israeli strikes.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile attacks targeting US military assets across the region, as well as several Israeli cities.
On Monday, debris from one of three drones shot down over Erbil fell near the United Arab Emirates Consulate. The UAE Foreign Ministry condemned the incident, saying it strongly condemned the targeting of the consulate.
According to official figures, the Kurdish Regional Government has faced 210 drone attacks, including 177 targeting Erbil, since the beginning of the escalation of the situation.
Regional escalation has intensified since Israel and the US launched a joint strike against Iran on February 28, killing more than 1,200 people and injuring over 10,000 others.
About 150 American soldiers wounded in the war
About 150 American soldiers have been wounded during the first 10 days of the war between the United States and Iran, Reuters reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, this figure had not been previously made public. Before the publication of this information by Reuters, the Pentagon had confirmed only eight US soldiers were seriously injured.
After the news was published, the Pentagon reacted with a statement saying that the number of injured is around 140. The Pentagon's chief spokesman, Sean Parnell, said that most of the injuries are minor.
"According to data since the start of Operation 'Epic Fury', approximately 140 members of the US forces have been injured during 10 days of continuous attacks," he stated.
According to him, 108 of the injured soldiers have returned to duty, while eight of the seriously injured are receiving the highest level of medical care.
Reuters points out that it is not yet known what type of injuries the soldiers suffered and whether they include traumatic brain injuries, which are common after explosions.
Iran has launched retaliatory attacks on US military bases since the conflict began on February 28. According to the Pentagon, the number of Iranian attacks has dropped significantly in recent days, while the US military is striking Tehran's weapons depots and missile launchers.
The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, stated that Iran has not proven to be a stronger adversary than was anticipated in US military plans.
"They are fighting and I respect that, but I don't think they are any more formidable than we had anticipated," he said during a press conference at the Pentagon.
Iran's new leader injured
Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been wounded in the leg during an Israeli attack. According to the New York Times, Mojtaba Khamenei is in a safe location.
Iranian sources cited by the Times stated that any communication with the outside world could reveal Khamenei's location, putting him at risk.
According to two Israeli military sources, Khamenei was reportedly wounded in the leg on the first day of the war, on February 28, before he was elected Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.
