Israeli army strikes Hezbollah infrastructure on southern outskirts of Lebanese capital after evacuation warning
The Israeli army, IDF, announced that it has launched a wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The attacks come after the army repeated on Tuesday a warning to evacuate the area known as Dahiyeh, a key Hezbollah stronghold in the Lebanese capital.
According to the Israeli military, the targets hit were related to infrastructure and positions used by Hezbollah in the area.
Israeli military authorities stated that further details on the attacks and the targets hit would be released later.
The attacks in Beirut mark another escalation of conflict in the region, as tensions between Israel and Iran-aligned forces continue to rise.
