A 25-year-old named McKenna Kindred, who while practicing her profession as a teacher at Central Valley High School in the state of Washington, had sexual relations with her 17-year-old student.

The 25-year-old teacher was not sentenced to prison, the court's decision provides for two years under supervision, a fine of 700 dollars and her inclusion on the list of convicted sex offenders for 10 years. The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to indecent behavior with a minor and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
The teacher's relationship began in June 2022, when the minor opened his Instagram account and the two began exchanging messages. They had their first sexual relationship in November of the same year at her house, while the teacher's husband was hunting.
A month later, the 17-year-old's friends submitted to the school principal photos and messages exchanged between the student and the teacher.
In the messages, the teacher and the boy wrote: "I want you in my room", "when other girls talk about you in class, I was going crazy", "I want you to touch me everywhere".
The teacher was placed on forced leave in December 2022 and eventually resigned in 2023. The boy's mother alleged "abuse of power" by the teacher, claiming the child was unable to do homework and was socially and emotionally affected. .
